The department of Electronics and Computer Engineering was started in the Academic Year 1999-2000. This discipline is an exceptional blend of both Computer Science Engineering and Electronics Engineering. The department was accredited by N.B.A and certified by ISO 9001-2000. The department has renowned faculty from both areas to equip the students with the current technological trends. Apart from this, the department also encourages students to participate in technical and cultural events on and off campus. It also has a noteworthy student association called ESSENCE which aims on improving a student’s all-round performance. One of the highlights of the department is that it has its own National Level Technical Fest organised by the students named THRUSANG. The name THRUSANG is derived by blending two Sanskrit words.’Thrunanu’ which means ‘related to Electronics and ‘SanganakaYantra’which means‘Computer’.The word ‘THRUSANG’ ideally recapitulates all the principles our Department stands for. THRUSANG’14 this year is bigger and better. It promises to be a vast platform which opens a whole new world for talent, teamwork, imagination along with the spirit of engineering which brings technological and modern minds under one roof. For the first time, THRUSANG has come up with a theme “Panoramic development through Industrialisation” which aims at bringing together innovative minds with different Industrial backgrounds. It emphasizes on a holistic view of Industrialisation in the entire world. In simpler words, it is the all-round development through Industrialisation. Industrialisation is a period of social and economic change that transforms a human group from an agrarian society into an industrial one. It is a part of a wider modernisation process, where social change and economic development are closely related with technological innovation. It’s a peek into the world of technology and is the extensive organisation of an economy for the purpose of manufacturing with fun and creativity. This is the third edition of Thrusang.
